Mr & Mrs Shelton: A wedding in Positano

Back in middle school, I was lucky enough to visit California every spring break with my grandmother. She had a sister there and we had a plethora of cousins waiting to welcome us into their homes. Sarah, the cousin that was closest in age, was the one I obviously gravitated towards. We spent hours and hours at disneyland, terrorizing her sister, and messing with snails at her grandma’s house. Gross, I know.

Sadly, time drifted us apart. We met again when I first started dating the Mr, and she was dating Michael. The time was brief but it was great to see her happy.

Fast forward to 2013 when we moved out to Holland. She contacted me and said she will be getting hitched in Positano, Italy! Obviously, I HAD to attend. Little did I know that this milestone in her life is also the catalyst that got us close again. Not only am I so ecstatic that she is entering marital bliss, I am so grateful that we have gotten closer again. I do miss her crazy. Only the crazies can truly understand one another!

The little that I caught on videoΒ is merely a glimpse into the genuine beauty of their wedding day.

Congrats to Mr & Mrs Shelton! We love you so much and we are so happy we got to share your biggest day of your lives with you!

Where we goin’ next!?

Jetsettin’! : Bonjour Paris part deux – May 15th-18th, 2014

Paris, France is a tourist’s favorite destination. So it’s no surprise that my mother in law, grandma in law, and our friend from FL wanted to visit Paris. We were more than happy to oblige since the last time we went, it was cold and rainy.

This time, however, it was the total opposite. We had sun! ALL DAY ERRY DAY! We rented an apartment through airbnb and it was pretty awesome. The apartment was right next to the metro and a short walk to the Arc De Triomphe. Not to mention, the prices were very reasonable. We decided to go with an apartment so my in-laws had a small kitchen to prepare their own meals. They’re old school, they aren’t very big fans of food outside of our culture.

Also, this time around we went to the top of the Eiffel Tower. Ah-mazing. The views of the city was incredible and indescribable. I’m so glad we didn’t skip it. Note to future visitors: buy them tickets online and show up when it opens!

Other than that, we kept it pretty chill. Did some shopping, did a little sightseeing, and went to a couple bars. I hope our guests enjoyed their time as much as we did!

I’ll upload pictures from Paris as soon as I’m finished going through them all. Don’t hold your breath.
